Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to know about our quick start air quality meters

How do I set up my airmeterx air quality meter?

To set up your meter, unbox all components, connect the power adapter, and attach the sensors as shown in the quick start guide. Download the airmeterx mobile app or access the web portal at airmeterx.pro to complete the on-screen configuration. Full monitoring is available within 2 minutes of initial power-up.

Which pollutants can airmeterx meters detect?

Our devices track particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), carbon dioxide (CO2) levels, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The integrated sensors are selected to cover the most critical indoor and outdoor air quality factors for residential and commercial use.

How long does the device take to warm up?

The sensor array reaches stable readings in approximately 90 seconds. During this period, readings may fluctuate slightly as the system calibrates internal temperature and humidity sensors to local conditions.

Can I view data remotely?

Yes. All measurements stream securely to the airmeterx cloud portal. Use your login credentials at airmeterx.pro to monitor real-time graphs, historical trends and alerts from any internet-enabled device.

What power sources are supported?

Each meter includes a 5V DC adapter compatible with European outlets. For mobile deployments, a USB power bank rated at 2A or higher can also maintain operation for extended periods.

Is installation required for the app?

The airmeterx app is available for iOS and Android. Install from the App Store or Google Play, create an account using your email, then link your meter by scanning the QR code included in the package.

How do I perform a manual calibration?

Navigate to the calibration menu in the app or portal, select the sensor type, and follow the step-by-step procedure. Calibration requires a stable reference environment and takes under 5 minutes to complete.

Does the meter support firmware updates?

Firmware updates are delivered over-the-air. When connected to Wi-Fi, your meter will download and apply the latest features automatically, ensuring optimal performance without manual intervention.

Can multiple users access one meter?

Yes. Grant access to team members by inviting them through the portal or app. Permissions can be set per user for read-only or configuration control roles.

What warranty options are available?

Standard coverage includes replacement of defective parts during the first 12 months of ownership. Extended coverage plans are available as an optional service for peace of mind beyond the standard period.

How accurate are the sensor readings?

Sensors are factory-tuned to provide accuracy within ±5% for particulate matter and ±50 ppm for CO2 under standard laboratory conditions. Real-world variance may occur based on environmental factors.

What maintenance is required?

Periodic cleaning of the inlet filter is recommended every 6 months. Sensor modules are designed for minimal upkeep and can be swapped quickly if you choose to carry a backup kit.
